Self-Guided Tour of Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast

Well worth it. This is a must for anyone visiting Belfast. Only cost just over 16 quid for both of us. Spent a good 2 hours there x

Having booked tickets for the 'one-hour' Guided tour of Crumlin Road Gaol during a recent trip to Belfast, we were very disappointed to be told on arrival that guided tours were unavailable due to social distancing regulations. And so despite having paid the full amount per ticket the only option was to tour the facility ourselves without the aid of a tour guide, and to rely on video clips for background info! We had booked the ticket online via Viator so this is a false form of advertising - and Gaol were not in a position to provide a refund, claiming this is an ongoing issue with Viator, and that many others had similar experiences also. So, it was a total waste of time - and only 30 minutes at that - not the full one-hour as advertised on your website!! I will certainly not recommend this to anyone else who may wish to do the tour. VIATOR - you need to update your site!

Interesting and informative. Well laid out. Good social distancing. Video and timing with walking tou out but would have been OK with guide .

Great visit, even with covid 19 rules the visit was well planned and very interesting and enjoyable, pleasant and helpful team members, and a visit to cuffs restaurant great food and very reasonably priced, highly recommended, Jean from Liverpool

The different artifacts were interesting. The lifelike models were very good too. It was OK. Could have been better.

Would definitely recommend a trip to Crumlin Jail, very interesting, tour is virtual instead of tour guide due to covid.?

Tour mis sold as guided but can’t be helped due to covid. We must have missed a section because it was over in 30 mins. If that’s the case, the flooring signs are not clear enough. I wouldn’t bother going if it isn’t guided.

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience! Although it required social distancing, we learned a great deal about Irish history. Would Highly recommend this if you’re visiting Belfast

The tour of the prison was absolutely amazing.. UNFORTUNATELY that was nothing to do with the operator as No 1... they do not provide a guided tour as stated even being asked by the prison to change their wording they havent.. No 2.. they state that 'tour's starts at 10 and the prison doesnt open till 11. My advice definately do the tour but book directly with the prison.
