Expensive and no history

The guide was a very nice gentleman but gave us very little history. Although there were only 6 people, unless you were standing next to the guide you really couldn't understand or hear. The boat tour was actually a hotel shuttle boat. No food or drink on the boat tour, basically across the lake to the hotel landing and back. Much too expensive for the services.

Good afternoon Thank you for sharing your feedback. I give you some background information: -this tour is not a historical tour and it's described as it it -there is one tourist boat, for the lake tour, crowded with guests, loud and where you get audio-guides on low batteries. That's why we decided to get on the lake on the Bürgenstock-Shuttle, as it runs frequently, is doing the same way as the tourist boat and is much more modern. -if you calculate, that you travelled on Swiss trains for 3 hours (and you don't have any reduction card) and you could sit on a scenic boat for one hour, you had a tourguide for 6 people - the price is really fair comparing to the price level in Switzerland. With this information and the hint, that you always get better prices direct on the tour operator instead of a re-seller, I hope the situation clear's up a little bit. Kind regards

Beautiful city despite the gloomy rain.

Very charming town that we sure would have explored even more wasn’t for the cold freezing rain. Will have to come back in summer time to enjoy the different amenities this town could offer.

Interesting and pretty town. Boat ride was not much but we had bad weather with clouds so that did make a negatve difference. Guide was nice guy but spoke softly.

City tour in Luzern

We had an excellent guide in Juli, not spelled correctly, but pronounced Yoolee. He took us to all of the historic sites and on a ship ride on the lake that was spectacular! The scenery on the ferry ride was what we loved the most! But he let us decide when to stop for a break or shopping and really let the tour be ours. Fantastic guide! Our guide, Anna, got us from Basel to Luzern and she didn't have much to say, but made sure we got to Juli so that was good. She kept forgetting and slipping back in German which we could not understand, but she did get us safely to Luzern. I would recommend this tour if you want to see Luzern.

Hi Sandra Thank you for your review. The correct name is Ueli, one of this tongue-breaking names in Switzerland :-) I'll forward the feedback to him. Kind regards Mike / Swisstravelguide.ch
