Great storytelling, very informative

Last year I experienced this tour pre-covid. Last week I took some friends on the tour (Emily was our guide both times). Although we were not able to go inside all the sites like last time, I was just as impressed with the tour. Emily is a great storyteller and all the information is so well researched.

MLK - More than what you’ve been taught in school!
Monicaescott
, May 2021
Emily our guide was incredibly engaging, entertaining and educated on all elements of MLK, his community, relevant key historical players, the surrounding area and past and present social justice conversations. Be prepared to leave this tour with far more knowledge and a deeper understanding of the pivotal moments that shaped DR Martin Luther King Jr’s life and American history as we know it. Locals and visitors alike should take this tour - you will be glad you did! Don’t be frightened by a little exercise - the walk was completed at an enjoyable, and conversational pace. Emily, the guide map and the structure of the tour was completely professional, but I do recommend they add a placard or flag to designate the guide and the company name so patrons don’t get caught with the wrong tour group.

A genuine tour in history
Alain_M

To know the critical part that Atlanta paid in the Civil Rights Movement. To learn the history and the family background of all these leaders. To "walk in their shoes" and see the neighborhood they lived in. Emily was very knowledgeable and made the history come to live. She answered all our questions.

The stories were inspiring and insightful. I left with a desire to leave a legacy behind, to be a better leader and to do more for others. The guide was friendly and engaging. Made sure people were safe and enjoying themselves. Also made efforts to start personal conversation with each participant and I was impressed how she remembered everyone’s name.

This is an excellent tour!!! Margaret was our tour guide, and not only was she very helpful and knowledgeable, but she was also very personable. This tour isn't just about seeing many places, it's about understanding the meaning and the stories of a movement, of men, women, and children who helped make this nation a better place for all of us to live today. Margaret does a great job of connecting all the stories, the events, the actors, and the artifacts in a coherent whole. Truly an excellent tour!!!!
