Cappadocia 3-Day Tour from Antalya

We were to receive hotel pick up, however had to walk half a kilometre with our luggage to McDonalds to meet bus. Ordinary commentary on trip, all stops were at roadhouses. Inclusions were reasonable, really enjoyed the Hidden City, however exclusions like ballooning and cultural event were booked via the guide, no cancellations allowed and all transactions in cash with no receipts supplied. Unfortunately we had a person miss the balloon flight due to sudden onset of nausea, after day 1 travel, and cannot claim travel insurance for our losses without evidence of payment. On 4 occasions we raised the need for receipts with our guide so we could make a claim claim, the last time in writing, but nothing provided. So we have no confirmation of how much the activities actually cost, and it appears the tour have no responsibility for any incentive to gain receipts for monies paid by clients. Clearly we should have looked more deeply into the trip, and I personally will never again do a road trip tour in a small bus over such a distances. To top it off the bus overheated driving us back through the hills on day 3. I recommend flying to Cappadocia and flying out after ballooning and daily activities completed. Save the time for enjoying the rest of Turkey, which we found to be fantastic.

Tour guide didn’t have smiles and didn’t try to make trip enjoyable and also charged more than other competitors for balloon ride. Also i called one day before for pick up time they told me 4:00 AM but driver showed up at 5:35 AM.

A 10 hour ride to Cappadocia and the car didn’t have air conditioning. It was extremely hot and two open windows didn’t cut it, in a mini bus. Not to mention dirty. The tour guide was not professional as he tried to rip people off with extra charge. Be careful!
