9:00 AM
Pickup Point: Your hotel in Amman Return point: Returns to the original departure point
Depart your Amman hotel by private, air-conditioned vehicle, and travel south to the Jordan River valley, home to the spot where it’s believed that John the Baptist baptised Jesus Christ.

After the 34-mile (55-kilometer) journey, arrive at the revered site on the river's eastern banks, known as Bethany Beyond The Jordan, or in Arabic as El-Maghtas. The location was authenticated by the Vatican as the official site of Jesus’ anointment during a visit by Pope John Paul in 2000, and is also held holy by the Islamic and Jewish faiths as the place where the Prophet Elijah ascended to heaven.

Purchase an admission ticket (own expense), and choose to take a shuttle bus or walk to the baptism pool, learning about its history, and how John the Baptist lived here while performing his baptisms.

Next, re-join your driver and continue to the Dead Sea, the vast salt lake at 1,312 feet (400 meters) below sea level, the lowest point on Earth. The lake is known for its concentration of salt and minerals, which lend its waters therapeutic properties and enable swimmers to float on the surface.

Take in the spectacular views of the calm, shining lake, and then head inside a resort hotel on its shores (own expense). Here, enjoy free time to relax on the mineral beach, bask in the beautiful setting, and wade into the waters to experience the unique floating sensation. Be sure to strike the classic pose of lying back and floating as you read a magazine or book!

Later, at a time prearranged with your driver, hop back into your vehicle and ride back to Amman, where your trip ends with a drop-off at the original start point.
Stop At:
The Baptism Site Of Jesus Christ
Leave Amman to visit the Baptist site, 55 kilometers away. Visit the baptism site, located on the east side of the Jordanian River, recognized by the Vatican during the visit of John Paul II in 2000 to be the official baptism sight of Jesus Christ and a very important pilgrimage area to visit. This tour is indescribable and related to one’s own faith. Many baptisms and re baptisms can be organized as a symbol of one’s faith. This area is not only associated with Christianity but also related to the three divine religions: Jewish, Christian, and Islam with the ascension of the Prophet Elijah into heaven.

Dead Sea Museum
You will then head to the lowest point on earth, 400 meters beneath sea level. The Dead Sea is one of the most incredible places in the world. It is known for the Biblical story of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra, which was turned into salt. The Dead Sea speaks for itself, there are no living fish. It is by far one of Jordan’s most impressive and spectacular places to visit. Its calm shining water glowing from its scorching sun is known for the concentration of salt and minerals, which makes it a therapeutic as well as a unique swimming experience not to be missed! I had a great tour with Mohammad and he was kind to explain about the local culture and food. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. He even went above and beyond and helped me find the ATM that worked for my card nearby. The Dead Sea and Baptism site was awesome.

$60 a head for a round-trip of 45 mins to the Dead Sea?? Our driver never took us to the Baptism Site but to Mount Nebo instead. He also made us stop in a Mosaic selling place where we were
