Magical Musical Memories in Muscle Shoals

What we had planned as a simple rest stop between Atlanta and Memphis turned into the highlight of our entire family trip. The folks at the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio are so welcoming, and the tour is so engrossing - full of music and colorful stories about this amazing building and the stars that once passed through its doors. Highly recommended for music fans of all ages, but an absolute must-visit for fans of the 1970's Muscle Shoals sound that dominated the charts for so many artists.

We are from Nashville and truly appreciate the magic of music. This was an amazing place, beautifully restored to an era when some of the biggest names in the music industry trekked to Muscle Shoals for a special kind of chemistry. Our tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, telling anecdotes about those who recorded there. You could just picture Paul Simon and Keith Richards poking around the studio between takes. A truly wonderful experience.

This guy knows his stuff inside out and upside down. Best tour I’ve ever been on. 45 minutes and I could have listened all day. Amazing the recordings that came out of that studio.

Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The studio is small but the history is huge. Good social distancing and masking, so the visit was comfortable. Definitely worth the price if you love music history!

Overwhelming Experience
JGHiti
, Oct 2020
If you are a music fan this is a must see! Knowing that you are standing right where many of you music idols worked on hit songs you know and love is an overwhelming feeling. The folks there couldn’t have been nicer or more knowledgeable. It’s just a shame a pamphlet or book isn’t available to prevent the information overload you’ll experience.
