Top Tarragona Wine Tours

We'll discover the wine producers of the famous wine region of El Penedés, while driving my vintage Mehari, an antique convertible car from 1976. I'll drive you to the most beautiful vineyards and family wineries of the region, where you'll meet the winegrowers and the family members of the cellars. A member of the family will explain the process of the wine and cava (champagne not from France) making. We will visit three old wineries in the countryside and taste some premium wines or cavas with a snack at each winery. While we're in the car, among the historical vineyards, I'll share the secrets, curiosities and peculiarities of the region with you. Afterwards, we'll have time to chill in a grass area among the vineyards and old trees. I'll prepare a picnic of local products and other wines/cavas of the region (number of cups of cava/wine unlimited during the meal). In winter, lunch will be inside a winery or in my garage bar. The meal is always at the end of the tour.

This tour includes a visit to the cellar, famous among the local people, but without crowds of tourists. A degustation of chocolate is a great dessert after the winery visit.

We will visit Siurana, a charming town of cobbled houses and streets, where the Romanesque church stands out. After Siurana we will visit the Baronia del Montsant winery, a vineyard located in Cornudella, where we will carry out a tasting of 7 wines accompanied by a delicious local Cornudella appetizer. We moved to Escaladei, a town that originally was the Conreria of the Carthusian monastery that was established near there. Here we will visit the facilities of Cartuja de Santa María de Escaladei, the main monument of the region, which currently belongs to the Museum of History of Catalonia. We will visit the Castle of the Counts of Prades, currently enabled as a Wine Interpretation Center. Then we will go to the Falset Marçà Agricultural area, where we will do a small tasting tasting.

We will arrive at Montserrat, we will visit the great monastery of Montserrat, built on the slope of the mountain that bears his name.  After visiting the sanctuary we will visit the Montserrat viewpoint to appreciate the beauty that the mountain offers with its famous views that impress visitors. We leave Montserrat towards Sant Sadurni D'anoia and Vilafranca del Penedes, where we will visit a cellar of Cava, and a well-known winery where a tasting of selected wines from the winery itself will take place, all after a visit to the wineries from the vineyard We return to Salou or Tarragona
