Great fun in the ancient ruins of Salona and Klis!
This was a great day in the ancient ruins of Salona, the fortress at Klis and the old city of Trogir. Our guide, Adrian, was wonderful - very knowledgeable about the history of each location and also very personable. We were in a small group of 3, and he kept the conversation going throughout the day! We were particularly impressed with Salona - that such an incredible set of ancient ruins can be so open to the public and within the "backyard" of Split is very impressive. The Klis fortress discussion was tremendously interesting and educational (and very neat for the GOT nerd inside all of us!). Trogir was just okay - we were staying in Split and the Diocletian palace was more interesting to us than Trogir. It was a great day, and we would highly recommend the tour - and ask for Adrian as your guide!!

Trogir, Salona and fortress Klis tour
The guide was very fun, courteous and animated. I wished he knew a bit more of history but we still had a fantastic time. I’d do it again.

Debrovka was amazing! She was very informative and interesting. We had a great day and would recommend her again and again! We went to Klis Fortress was an awesome history lesson! Stella was a nice stop and Trogir was a neat city to walk.

Salona Klis and Trogir Full Day Tour from Split
I booked this trip because my boyfriend is a huge history buff while admittedly that’s not really my thing. I enjoyed every minute of this tour! Our guide, Marin, was obviously very passionate about what he does and was extremely knowledgable. I would recommend to all for a fun day out of Split!

Salona Klis and Trogir Full Day Tour from Split
My partner and I did this tour last week with Gecko Tours and would highly recommend it. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt so so much about the three sites and Croatia in general. Our tour guide, Marin, was amazing - we cannot praise him enough. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable about the local area and it’s history and answered any questions we had. He was very welcoming and engaging and also took the time to get to know us and take photos for us whenever we wanted. The tour was well paced and all three areas we visited were very interesting with some great views too - we are so glad we chose to do the tour as would not have found out any of the information (there’s few/no information boards etc. at the sites) otherwise. Overall a fantastic tour and guide - a must do if you’re in Split and want to find out more about the local history.
