Walking around in El Boqueron park was quite the treat. Cost wise, it got a bit steep in price for one person (definitely more economical for two people), but I guess I understand why it’s priced this way. I was the only one in the tour."

* A traveler said: "We did this tour on the first day we were in El Salvador and it was perfect because it gave us a great introduction to the country and the people. Our tour guide was Dionicio, who we highly recommend as he was amazing! He shared so much knowledge with us and was very kind and patient the entire day. He made us feel safe and we felt comfortable to ask him any questions we had. Our only regret is that we did not book him for the entire trip! We chose to do the extra option of zip lining and the hot springs for our trip. We loved both, and we especially recommend doing the zip lining as it was an unforgettable experience and very well run! El Salvador Positive Tours is a great company and made sure to keep in contact via email and answer all of our questions. We will definitely book with them again next time we visit El Salvador. Thank you El Salvador Positive Tours and Dionicio for making our trip the best it could be!"

Skip the crowds and lines with privileged early access This is a private early departure, not the 11 AM group hike. As licensed guide I'm granted with privileged access, way ahead of the daily group departure. This way you go on your own pace making the experience more enjoyable. You know, the larger the group the slower it goes (and the noisier it is). Even weather tends to be more favorable on early hours. This walk goes from the cloud forest on the skirts to the volcanic wasteland by the crater. From the top you can see the steamy sulfuric acid lake at the bottom and the multicolored layers of ash on the rim as well Coatepeque caldera lake below. Skip the large groups, the warmest hours, the lines and the slow walkers. With me you can spend as much time you want at the crater. No hurries, no crowds. Enjoy the views, take pictures, Time's yours!. You mark the pace. It's a 9 Km (total). The trail partially shady. There's restrooms by the park ranger's station. Suitable for kids.
