The ideal place to do rafting in Umbria is located under the Marmore Falls, less than an hour's drive from Rome you can find the fantastic descent of the rapids by raft. Here the Nera river flows fast, boiling over the rocks for over three kilometers, forming rapids of the fourth degree (from 1 to 6 the difficulties of rafting), surrounded by lush vegetation, in an environment that seems tropical. The requirements for rafting in Umbria As was the case for the thousands of passionate people who, over the last twenty years, have wanted to experience the emotion, to practice rafting in Umbria it is not necessary to have special skills to do it: just knowing how to swim well, being in good health, between 18 and and 55 years and weigh less than 100 KG (the Management reserves the right to exclude those who do not show adequate psychophysical and motor skills from advanced sports activities).

First of all, your instructor will help you get familiar with the rafting equipment directly on the river. Then you will sail towards the city centre on inflatable rafts paddled by several teammates. You will pass in front of the Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vatican, then under Ponte Sisto and the Ponte Garibaldi. If the river conditions allow it, you can reach the rapids near the Tiber island until Ponte Rotto (the broken bridge).
