Private Tour of Villa Borghese and Gallery

Private Tour of Villa Borghese and Gallery

The tour will start in Borghese Gallery, where we will visit the old house of Cardinal Scipione Borghese, transformed into a splendid art museum with all the most important sculptures by Bernini. Then, we will continue to admire Villa Borghese, which is a landscape garden in Rome, containing a number of buildings, museums (Galleria Borghese) and attractions. It is the third-largest public park in Rome (80 hectares or 197.7 acres) after the ones of the Villa Doria Pamphili and Villa Ada. The gardens were developed for the Villa Borghese Pinciana ("Borghese villa on the Pincian Hill"), built by the architect Flaminio Ponzio, developing sketches by Scipione Borghese, who used it as a Suburban villa, a party villa, at the edge of Rome, and to house his art collection. The gardens as they are now were remade in the late 18th century. Be ready to get some fresh air and let your guide tell you everything you need to know about Villa Borghese and the Borghese Gallery.

Virtual Trip to Rome to Learn Street-Photography and How to Capture Life

Virtual Trip to Rome to Learn Street-Photography and How to Capture Life

I lived for almost twenty years in the US and Africa, working as documentary filmmaker and photojournalist. When in 2014, I returned to Rome, my beloved hometown, I rediscovered all its sparkling and yet romantic life, its corners, its neighborhoods, and its everyday magic. In 2016, I started offering photo tours and workshops (also here on this platform) and along with them I photographed Rome almost every day, from sunrise to sunset and even during the night, going to the most iconic places as well as to the suburb neighborhoods, truly discovering the soul of the city and of its inhabitants. Through the Art and fun of street photography, I have photographed all sorts of situations, oddities, colors, people. You should book this online workshop because through it you will acquire the ability to photograph the invisible nuances of things and human beings, how to read faces, how to spot slices of life, and capture them in what Henri Cartier-Bresson called the "decisive moment".
