The Basics

Comprised of dozens of buildings, Prague Castle can feel like a small town. To allow for ample time to explore, tickets are valid for two days: the day of purchase and the following day. Nearly all city tours include a stop at Prague Castle, and a variety of tickets are available depending on how much of the complex you want to see. Explore the castle on your own with a skip-the-line ticket, or book a guided walking tour for a more in-depth experience. To take in even more of Prague’s highlights, combine a visit to Prague Castle with a cruise on the Vltava River or a walking tour of Old Town.

Veronica our guide was very good and we learnt a lot from being with her. it is always good to have the information as you walk around and Veronica was very good at explaining. On top of being a first class guide we also enjoyed her company. Thank you Veronica and we wish you all the very best. Kind regards from Alan and Julia

Prague Castle and Castle District Walking Tour
Ian was a very cool person and a very friendly guide. We had a really nice and informative tour, we learned so much in this 3 hours! We would never get to know this much about the castle, if we would have gone on our own ! Ian was very nice and always asked if we would have some questions or if need something. He knew a lot and always added some funny information! We would do it again.

Skip-the-Line Prague Castle Ticket and Minibus Transfer
We met up with the driver and guide behind the Jan Hus statue. The van was clean and comfortable. The guide shared a wealth of knowledge. And also very pleasant. Enjoyed her 45-50 minute tour. Plenty for us old folks lol. It was a quick and easy walk to the castle grounds from where the van dropped us off. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs to avoid too many steps uphill.

Very friendly and informative. We were very lucky to be the only participants on the tour that day (early Jan 2020). Would highly recommend this tour. Thanks so much for making our visit to the castle so interesting.

My husband and I took the Prague Castle Walking Tour and had an amazing experience!! Veronica was our guide and she did a fantastic job telling us the history and culture of Prague as well as taking us through Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral, the Basilica of St George, Old Royal Palace, and Golden Lane. She was vibrant and animated and was able to answer the many questions we had about the sites we visited. We will absolutely visit again and will request her for our future tours!!!

3-hour Private Prague Castle Walking Tour
We were improvised due to Coronavirus, so our guide, Patrick, took us all over the city. It was outstanding and he was interesting, intelligent, well spoken and a very pleasant person to spend an afternoon with. Also we delayed our tour because we almost left early and came back from the airport and they still to ok us.

Prague Castle Highlights

Prague Castle is rich with architectural and historical marvels, including the neo-Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, which may be the most recognizable part of the complex. Inside, don’t miss St. Wenceslaus Chapel and its magnificent decorations. The treasury is one of the largest in Europe and includes a relic of St. Vitus’ arm, while St. George’s Basilica, with its austere interior, provides an interesting contrast to the elaborate cathedral. The small homes along Golden Lane originally belonged to servants, goldsmiths, and marksmen; look for house 22, where writer Franz Kafka once lived. The Old Royal Palace is now home to an interactive exhibition providing an overview of the city’s history, the Story of Prague Castle.
