Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum
Explore the multitude of permanent and revolving exhibits at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum while learning aviation and space exploration history. See the exhibits on a self-guided tour, join a free docent-led tour of the museum, and watch a film at the museum’s 3D theater. To further enhance the experience, talk with one of the many veteran pilots who serve as docents at the museum or experience the action in a virtual flight simulator.
Things to Know Before You Go
The Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum is a must visit for aviation, space, and history enthusiasts.
The museum is wheelchair accessible and has wheelchairs and scooters available for loan.
There are two cafes within the museum; outside food and drinks are not allowed.
Tours are free with your admission ticket, but separate tickets are required for the 3D theater and flight simulation ride.
How to Get There
The museum is a 1-hour drive from Portland and a 40-minute drive from Salem. If you drive, take I-5 to the McMinnville exit and follow the signs for Highway 18. Turn left onto Highway 18 and follow it 3.5 miles (six kilometers) southeast until you reach the museum.
When to Get There
The museum is open daily and closed on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. You can join a free guided tour at 11am or 1:30pm; no reservations are required. Events are frequently held throughout the summer. Visit the museum’s online event page to schedule your visit around one of the festivals, fundraisers, or performances.
