The advantages of a private tour is that you traveled alone in the vehicle, can be added to the food or visit somewhere nearby, as long as it does not exceed the contracted time. We pass by you directly from the hotel, it is a door to door service, without more people. In case of requiring more time the extra hours have an additional cost.

Flavors of Oaxaca: Cooking Class with No Set Menu and Local Market Tour

Flavors of Oaxaca: Cooking Class with No Set Menu and Local Market Tour

Casa Crespo is Oaxaca in its kitchen. Tradition lives there, where chef Oscar Carrizosa, (originally from the Mixteca region) mixes the ingredients of the 16 ethnicities of Oaxaca with the original seasoning that he inherited from his grandma. It´s the perfect place to get to know the flavors and aromas of Oaxacan food in the classes that Oscar gives. To taste a good cup of coffee or a hot chocolate at Casa Crespo while getting ready for your market tour is also a good start to approach Oaxacan cuisine. Oscar, who is very friendly, also shows how to smell and identify the aromas that come of the dishes. He presents menu options and the students decide what they would like to cook. There is no fixed menu. He teaches how to cook 3 types of tortillas, 3 types of salsa, an appetizer, soup, mole, dessert and drink. Dishes that strive to remain in the taste buds and memory of those who love good eating.

This excursion can be done only in this very spot in the whole country. Alonge the mexican coast line only here you can enjoy in five and a half hours tours a change of elevation which goes from cero to 4400 feet above the sea level, not only that, this is the only spot that connects back to back the best coral reef in the whole Pacific Ocean with the outstanding cloud forest above, along the way ...you will be see 3 towns at 3 different altitud, of very fifferent ages and of completely different background. One of them older than any city in Northamerica (our county sit town). A second one the origen of coffee in the State of Oaxaca, Pluma coffee is ranked top gourmet in the world. The trird one is our beatiful ecological minded town nice view point and explenation of its origen. Neat views of the Sierra Madre del sur, so if you want nature, culture, and aducational tour, this is the one. Ah!! and the best coffee taste and buy. Just do it!!!!!!!

"This was a very busy trip with six stops at Tule, Teotitlan, Hierve, buffet, Mitla, and mezcal tasting, in that order. We had about the right amount of time for each activity but I wish we could have done both the walk and the swim at Hierve. You must choose one or the other. However, I don't know if they could fit more in because it was a long day as it was. Our guide, Angel, was great. He gave a lot of information and tried to keep us organized and on time. However, members of the group were late to meet up on a couple of stops which seems to always happen on tours. Although we had to pay for tickets and buffet, this tour was a great value considering the transportation, guide, and all of the activities. I would highly recommend."..."
