This tour is a combination of hiking and sightseeing. We start our tour from Akureyri. Our first stop is Goðafoss [the waterfall of the Gods]. Afterwards we will keep on driving direction Lake Mývatn. Next stop will be Dettifoss waterfall. Dettifoss is Europe's second most powerful waterfall. Then it's off to Hljóðaklettar, a row of ancient craters shaped by the glacial river Jökulsá. This area is where we go hiking for about 2 hours in a very unique landscape. Then we head towards the ocean where we may be able to discover some puffins which are found in the area from May to beginning of August. Next it's time for coffee at Tungulending, a small coffee house located on the beach at Skjálfandi bay. From there we go to Húsavík and stroll around the harbour area.
