A day-long bike tour exploring the countryside of Mysuru pedaling through farmland, villages, exploring local temples, and venturing into the island town of Srirangapatna. Mysuru’s countryside is rich with history and natural diversity; on the banks of the River Cauvery you’ll pass by quaint villages. A series of trails that criss-cross the villages along the river takes us on a journey into an island town famed for its rich history, old forts, temple, and a beautiful river bank. Once the erstwhile capital of the region, Srirangapatna or “Pattana” as the locals call it, predates Mysuru city and was the birthplace of the Arasu dynasty and the capital of the Mysuru empire under Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. Take a trip back in time with us as we explore local villages, meet with farmers and learn about their lives. Learn about making local brown sugar/jaggery and recount the stories of war and legends that made Srirangapatna the erstwhile capital of the Mysuru kingdom

Wake up with the city on a delightful cycling trail through Mysuru. We start with the old quarters of the city where traditions are prime and still run the old school way. Watch and learn the traditional art form of “Rangoli” that adorns the threshold of every household, get an introduction to yoga with a trained practitioner, feast on breakfast treats at a local joint and walk through the colorful Devaraja Urs Market as the locals step in to buy their day’s staple. You will also ride past some iconic buildings that have stood tall through Mysuru’s history. This early morning ride will introduce you to the Royal city and its way of life through hands on experiences and deeper connections with the locals.
