If you're new to white water rafting trips, no worries, as you have four miles of relatively calm water to learn the paddle commands and how to paddle effectively as a team. Along the way there are incredible views into Glacier National Park's dramatic terrain. Once you get to John Stevens Canyon the river picks up speed and your adventure really begins. You'll need all of that practice from upstream to execute the commands in the white water. With rapids like Bonecrusher, Jaws and the Notch (to name a few) your crew is sure to have an exciting time.

This Active Van Tour is a great way to see Yellowstone National Park beginning in the fun gateway town of West Yellowstone. The early morning part of the tour explores wildlife haunts in the famous Shadow Canyon of the Madison River. This area is home to bear and elk. Later we hike to an overlook of the famous Grand Prismatic Hot Springs. If you don't feel like walking we find a safe, scenic spot for you to wait for the group near the van. Next we explore the Old Faithful area, including some time at the famous Old Faithful Inn. We continue over the continental divide at Isa Lake and down to the West Thumb Geyser Basin on Yellowstone Lake for a view of some spectacular lakeside thermal pools. Continuing our drive along Yellowstone Lake we arrive in the Hayden Valley where big herds of bison roam. Finally, we arrive at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone to view the canyon and the amazing falls (one is almost 200 feet tall!). The day concludes back at West Yellowstone.

Join us for an afternoon with dinner exploring Glacier National Park's Wild and Scenic border river, the Middle Fork Flathead. First, float a relaxing stretch of river through while you learn the paddle commands from your guide. As you start into the John Stevens Canyon you’ll run through 9 named rapids. This is a fun and splashy adventure through pristine, glacially fed waters! Next, your guide selects a secluded spot for a delicious dinner on the side of the river including steaks, chicken, hamburgers, or a vegetarian option. Our kitchen sources food locally and organically whenever possible. You’ll taste the difference! Our trips depart rain or shine. Dinner Trips are a 2:15p departure. No experience necessary. All guests must be able to fit an and buckle a 58" chest life jacket. July through September our minimum age is 5 and a minimum weight of 50 pounds. In June the minimum age may be slightly higher if river levels are higher but call our office and we’ll be happy to help.

Spend the day looking for wildlife throughout Yellowstone, focusing on Yellowstone’s Northern loop. You will visit areas such as Lamar or Haden Valley for the chance to see bears, wolves, coyotes, bison, elk, and pronghorn. You will also explore river corridors, valleys, forests, and other habitats looking for other animals including, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, river otters, and other species. While traveling through these area you will also have a chance to enjoy the scenic vistas these animals call home. (This trip is your best chance to see a bear or wolf but no guarantees.)

Our guides team is made up of Master Naturalists, experts with Master's Degrees in Outdoor and Sustainability Education, lifelong Montanans, and more! We’ll stop at geyser basins, waterfalls, canyons, hot springs, and rivers. As we drive through the park, we will look for bison, elk, grizzly bears, and wolves! Our guides will share stories of the park’s human and geological history as well as information about flora and fauna.

Spend half a day kayaking down the Madison River during this guided excursion, ideal for participants of all skill levels looking for an alternative to the standard walking tours. The Lower Loop tour begins in Gardiner, Montana and begins heading south. Depending on external conditions, guide recommendation, and client preference, we can head either way around the loop.. We have extensive experience in navigating popular features and making it easier to fit them into our itinerary. From here, we make our way to some incredible thermal features and many of the most popular thermal basins. After a morning of visiting many of the thermal features between the Midway and Lower Basins, we'll head to the most iconic feature in Yellowstone, Old Faithful. From there we will travel over Craig Pass to Yellowstone Lake. Stopping at the West Thumb Thermal Basin; a thermal basin with unique structure and history. Then we will travel past Fishing Bridge. Next passing through Hayden valley to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, visiting the Upper and Lower Falls, and Artisan's Point. From there the tour returns to Gardiner, Montana, additional destinations may be possible.
