A' Famosa Water Theme Park
Part of the A’Famosa Resort, which also includes the Safari World wildlife attraction, the theme park Wild West, and a golf course, the A’ Famosa Water Park is designed for a full day of family fun. Cabanas, which can be rented for the day (on a first-come-first-served basis), offer a private space to retreat to throughout the day. Most travelers visit independently with family or friends while staying in Melaka.

How to Get There
About a 50-minute drive north of Melaka city, A’Famosa Water Theme Park can be reached from Melaka by resort shuttle, private car, or taxi. If you take a taxi to the park, negotiate a rate for the driver to wait for you for the day, as it can be difficult to find a return ride home otherwise.
When to Get There
The A’Famosa Water Theme Park is open from late morning until evening on weekdays and from midmorning until evening on weekends. It’s closed on Tuesdays, except on holidays. The park is busiest on weekends and during school holidays, so if you want a quieter experience with shorter lines for the rides, come during the week.
Visit the A’ Famosa Fort
One of the oldest European buildings in Southeast Asia, the A’ Famosa Fort in Melaka (from which the theme park takes its name) was built in 1511 by the Portuguese. All that remains of what was once a large settlement is the gate, but it’s one of Melaka’s most popular sightseeing spots and a must-visit for history enthusiasts.
