Kaʻanapali

Maui, Hawaii

The Basics

Base your stay from one of the town’s oceanfront resorts. Staying on the beach lets you skip the hassle of driving and grants you convenient access to Kaʻanapali Beach and the many shops and restaurants that line the resort row. Once you’ve had your fill of lounging on the beach, shop at the open-air Whalers Village shopping mall and peruse the innumerable shops at the boardwalk that runs between Kaʻanapali Beach and the resorts.

Take advantage of the many outdoor adventures surrounding Kaʻanapali on a tour. The town is a jumping-off point for whale watching, sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, ziplining, and more. If you aren’t staying in Kaʻanapali, visit on a tour of West Maui’s top beaches.

Sunset Cruise with Live Music and Open Bar from Ka’anapali Beach
Couldn’t ask for a better sunset cruise in Maui. Crew was great, very friendly, and the drinks were also served quickly. Boat was very clean and the food on the cruise was also much better than expected. We went doing whale season and the crew made sure to look out for whales and point them out. We saw plenty of whales.

West Maui Half Day Snorkel from Ka’anapali Beach
Snorkeling and sailing — but it was a whole lot more! I’ve never seen so many whales!🐋🐳 While snorkeling, we saw 2 turtles! 🐢🐢 Both surfaced to catch a breath and went back down. Such cute creatures! 😍 One of them was being cleaned by a handful of fishes. At first, I thought the turtle was being attacked but boy, was I wrong. 😂 Even sea creatures do self care. ☺️ #aloha 🌺

Afternoon West Maui Snorkel from Ka’anapali Beach
Highly recommend this excursion for people looking to snorkel, but don’t want it to take the whole day. It was my first time snorkeling and the guides were awesome with helping with gear and giving clear directions. On the boat, food and drinks were provided after the snorkel and the guides all made sure to talk to/ check in with everyone on the boat. Super friendly, very professional, and well organized!
