The Basics

Those interested in the history of San Jose del Cabo Church can tour the church to learn about the destruction that took place during a major hurricane in the early 1900s (the rebuilding of the church was not completed until 1940) and see what remains of the original walls, mosaics, and facade. Worshippers and visitors can also attend Mass services, which take place daily.

A Lovely Evening
Wow, The walking tour was the perfect way to spend a lovely evening in San Jose del Cabo. We strolled through the streets chatting about local history. Christian is very charismatic and obviously has a lot of passion for local culture.

Market and Tacos: Food Tasting Tour of San Jose del Cabo
Great guided activity featuring authentic tacos where locals of San Jose Del Cabo actually go to eat. Not too far from the regular tourist area, yet it’s where locals actually live and work so you get an authentic experience. Francisco was a superb guide.

Market and Tacos: Food Tasting Tour of San Jose del Cabo
This was one of the best food tours I’ve been on! The tour guide was a sweetheart and extremely knowledgeable of the Cabo area! We learned so much and got to enjoy food from little hole-in-the-wall places that we would’ve never seen before! The food was spectacular and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone trying to get away from the resort food for an afternoon.

Historical and Cultural Walking Tour of San José del Cabo
If you do nothing else while your in San Jose Del Cabo, take the time out to go on a cultural walking tour. The tour takes place in and around San Jose's Gallery District and is pact with interesting and insightful cultural fact about San Jose. The tour guide, Christian, is a master in the art of storytelling and will use his gift to transport you to the past, then bring you swooshing back to the present where you'll view your surroundings with the history and knowledge of a true local.

Evening Flavors of San Jose, Culture and Food Tasting Tour
Nice guide who was very knowledgeable about the area. The food was terrific just a few places but everything made fresh. Definitely some up-selling with drinks so bring cash. But overall a nice experience and I would recommend to others.

Following the bike lane, discover the main attractions of San José del Cabo
This was a fantastic way to see this wonderful town. Safety was never an issue and Christian's knowledge base was exceptional as a guide for San Jose del Cabo. It was a leisurely ride with pit stops at several key places. Highly recommended!

Evening Flavors of San Jose, Culture and Food Tasting Tour
We went to three local restaurants to sample food, made a quick stop for a tequila tasting and ended the tour with dessert. This is a walking tour that takes you around the center of San Jose del Cabo. The people are welcoming and Gil was a fantastic guide, eager to share the rich culture and history of Los Cabos and the surrounding areas. Although we wish the tour was longer and included more food, we are more than happy with the experience that was curated for us. There was some confusion at the beginning with miscommunication about the meeting point and the number for contact. But after the brief setback, the rest of the tour was delightful.

Historical and Cultural Walking Tour of San José del Cabo
This tour was wonderful! Kristian brings a lot of personality to the history of the town and presents a fascinating overview of how San Jose del Cabo came to be, as well as offering information on the local ecology, food, and modern society. The tour was well run and easily walkable, at no point did any of it feel overwhelming or hard to keep up with. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and may even do it again ourselves next time we are in town.

Market and Tacos: Food Tasting Tour of San Jose del Cabo
We went on this tour with Gilberto. He was a phenomenal guide, who spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, history and food of the region. The restaurants were gems we probably would have missed without him, and everything was absolutely delicious.

Market and Tacos: Food Tasting Tour of San Jose del Cabo
The food tour guided by Ricardo was wonderful. We visited a handful of local restaurants for some authentic Mexican tacos, enchiladas and also a cheese and tequila tasting. The tour was not just about the tacos but also about the history and culture of San Jose del Cabo and also the friendly and warm locals were very inviting. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique experience outside the resorts to learn about the local food and culture of this beautiful place.
