Where to Find the Best Views of the Grand Canyon
From helicopter rides to white-water rafting, some of the best Grand Canyon views require you to get off the ground.
The Mirage has a prime location on the Strip surrounded by Treasure Island, Caesars Palace, the Venetian, and the Flamingo. While visitors can enjoy the hotel’s casino, most come for its shows and spectacles like The Beatles LOVE show by Cirque du Soleil, Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat (home to white tigers), and the Aces of Comedy series.
The hotel sees the biggest crowds after dark, when its volcano erupts, spewing fire into the night sky; some night tours of the Strip stop to watch. You can also enjoy a ventriloquist show, a licensed Beatles retail store, clubs, bars, restaurants, a 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, and musical acts like Boyz II Men.
The Mirage is part of MGM Resorts and participates in the M life Rewards program.
The casino features a racebook and a sportsbook in addition to tables, slots, and a poker room.
The Mirage’s main pool is only open to hotel guests, but the Bare pool lounge—an adults-only pool—is included on some Vegas pool passes.
If you are planning to walk along the Strip, make sure to give yourself plenty of time—it usually takes longer than you’d think to walk between the enormous resort properties.
The Mirage is located at 3400 S Las Vegas Boulevard, between Spring Mountain Road and W. Flamingo Road. If arriving via public transportation, you can reach the resort on the Deuce bus, a service that covers the entire Las Vegas strip.
The Mirage offers gaming and entertainment 24 hours a day every day. The Beatles LOVE show takes place twice a night Tuesday– Saturday; The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is open daily from late morning to early evening. The resort’s volcano erupts 2-3 times a night, depending on the day of the week; check the schedule for exact times and for other events and show times.
Many comedians have residency shows in Las Vegas, but the Mirage’s Aces of Comedy series show is unique, hosting a rotating roster of some of the country’s best comics. Famous comedians ranging from Jay Leno to David Spade to Bill Maher take the stage here for short stints on weekend nights. Check the hotel’s schedule to see who will be playing when you’re in town.
