The Basics

The Amish Farm and House showcases the culture of Lancaster’s Amish communities. Families with young children can buy a farm-only pass to explore the 15-acre (6-hectare) farm and one-room schoolhouse, or watch demonstrations by resident artisans. Visitors may also opt for a guided tour of the house and farm, or a bus tour of the surrounding countryside. Hungry guests have the option to enjoy a Pennsylvania Dutch-style dinner or an Amish family barbecue (Saturdays).

A good introduction to the Amish way of life

Premium Amish Country Tour including Amish Farm and House
Very much enjoyed the drive around the Amish countryside with knowledgeable narration. I’m vaccinated against Covid. Otherwise I would not have gotten on the bus. There were too many people for those who are not vaccinated to safely travel, even though everyone was required to wear masks.

The whole thing was very memorable. Loved it and nicely organized. Price was a little expensive for the 90 minute tour - but still really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Premium Amish Country Tour including Amish Farm and House
The Amish country tour and house tour were wonderful. Only disappointment was with the farm. We were in line to go on buggy and a large group came and took over in Front of us. Lady in charge of the group said they would be using the buggy for at least an hour and we would have to wait. Needless to say, we left disappointed.

Premium Amish Country Tour including Amish Farm and House
The bus ride was comfortable and Barry was a great guide. The description of the types of the clothing and ability to interact with the Amish was interesting. Also the information that was given regarding the lifestyles of the Amish vs Minnonites which clarifies a lot of things that we see on tv.

Carl was an excellent bus driver. He gave a great tour. He gave funny corny jokes which made the trip. I will be going back in the future.
