Your Golden Mile wine tour includes two wineries in another equally famous area referred to as the Black Sage Bench. Hot summer sun and dry, arid climate create ideal conditions for late-ripening premium grapes to thrive! Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.

The Naramata Bench bathed in sunshine with cooling lake breezes and optimal temperatures creates a premier grape growing region in Canada. The rolling hills and variable soils with a range of microclimates and terroir produce a variety of premium grapes - Reds include Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Malbec. Whites also thrive in the Naramata terroir including Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
