Many travelers visit the park on a day trip from Jackson Hole or Cody, with options ranging from self-guided tours designed by knowledgeable local guides to half- or full-day guided excursions with pickup and drop-off at Jackson Hole hotels. The park’s proximity to Yellowstone National Park makes it easy to combine two national parks into one vacation.

Grand Teton National Park - Full-Day Guided Tour from Jackson Hole
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip through the Grand Teton National Park. The trip had something for everyone — a Scenic ferry ride, a very manageable hike during which we saw a black bear up close, and lots of stops with beautiful vistas. Chris was a very informative and personable guide who brought everything to life. We’d taken our own drive through the park a couple days earlier and missed so much or had only an inkling of what we were looking at.

Grand Teton National Park - Sunset Guided Tour from Jackson Hole
The guide was very knowledgeable in the history of the development of the park, as well as the stories behind each one of our destinations. The areas he took us to were spectacular! Nice to just enjoy the scenery rather than being behind the wheel.

Sunrise 4-Hour Grand Teton Tour
I knew the trip would be good, because while we were waiting for the guide, the taxi driver, a lifelong resident of Jackson saw who we were going with and confirmed it would be a good trip! It was! Mark’s background in wildlife biology wove in nicely with his experience of living in the area. It was inspiring to learn about the sense of community that support the wildlife, and each other.

Grand Teton National Park - Full-Day Guided Tour from Jackson Hole
Our guide Chris was great! He was personable and funny and had tons of great stories to share. We saw many highlights of the park and learned about their history. Best of all, Chris made suggestions for places to come back and hike on our own and his suggestion of Cascade Canyon was spot on (thank you Chris!). This trip is perfect if you want to see the highlights of this beautiful park without worrying about navigating the traffic and crowds on your own!
