Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park
The 18-acre landscaped Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park is best known for the Water Wall, also known as the Williams Waterwall. It is the perfect place to get away from the traffic and noise of the city. Visitors can relax on park benches with a picnic lunch or bask in the cool breeze under an old Oak tree while enjoying the soothing sounds and pristine beauty of the waterwall. The man-made attraction is quite powerful, with 11,000 gallons of water per minute gushing over a silver semicircular 64-foot wall and creating a waterfall effect. The height of the waterwall symbolizes the 64 stories of the Williams Tower, which it sits opposite of.
In front of the waterwall is a stone wall with a triangular pointed top and three open arch doorways. Walk through the doorways for a unique experience inside the waterwall to really feel its power and see its beauty up close. At night, this becomes a popular place for couples as the darkness enhances the ambience.
