The Basics

When visiting Rosh Hanikra, you can ride a cable car down the cliffs and explore the networks of caves and grottoes on foot. There is also hiking and bike riding along the seafront promenade, and panoramic views of the Mediterranean from atop the cliffs.

A number of full-day tours of Rosh Hanikra depart from from Tel Aviv. These typically explore the western Galilee region, including Caesarea, Haifa, and Acre (Akko), and offer round-trip transportation from your Tel Aviv hotel.

A Perfect Day trip from Tel Aviv
View ancient Roman ruins, the ancient city of Acre and more on this day trip up the coast. Our group was small; our guide excellent.

Caesarea, Haifa, Rosh Hanikra, and Acre Tour from Jerusalem
I have nothing but praise for this trip. The itinerary is excellently varied and our tour guide, Dane, and our driver Mohammed Abbasi were both wonderful and put a huge amount of effort into making it a wonderful day and well worth the money. I will definitely book another trip with Viator the next time I visit Jerusalem! And I will hope I get the same guide and driver.

Unforgettable Tour to Caesarea, Haifa, Acre and Rosh HaNikra from Tel Aviv
Incredibly knowledgeable guide who was very responsive to questions. Covered a ton of sites in an efficient manner. Our guide Sivan has a background in archaeology so she was able to contextualize various pieces of the concept of excavation. As the tour covers a wide swath of Middle Eastern history and geography, she really had to know a lot and it was clear that she knew what she was talking about.

Caeserea, Rosh Hanikra and Acre Day Trip from Tel Aviv
Low key photography tour. Caesarea is full of replicas and underwhelming compared to other historical sites you can spend time on. The other stops are good for photography if you are into that, otherwise they are light on content. 4 stars instead of 3 because the guide was knowledgeable and the group lunch was very good (make sure to bring a 50 shekel bill per person).

Unforgettable Tour to Caesarea, Haifa, Acre and Rosh HaNikra from Tel Aviv
Got to see numerous sites. Tour guide was very informative and quite knowledgeable on the history of each area. My favorite was Casarea and Rosh HaNikra. Would recommend if you have little time in Israel and was to see as much as possible.

Caeserea, Rosh Hanikra and Acre Day Trip from Tel Aviv
The tour was great. I had booked a few months earlier and the company sent me the meeting location. I emailed again two days before to confirm the time, but didn’t receive an answer. Luckily we had gone with the company the day before so I assumed we met at the same time. Other than that I enjoyed the tour and highly recommend.

Highlights of Caesarea, Haifa, Acre and Rosh Hanikra Tour from Tel Aviv
Views were spectacular. Our guide had to communicate in English and French because a few people on the bus were French speaking only. I guess there was a shortage of French speaking guides at the time. I love the sound of French but it was a little confusing and definitely time consuming. Our guide had to repeat every segment of information twice. So I guess he had to go strait to the point which likely impacted the quality of our communication and put him under unnecessary stress.

Caeserea, Rosh Hanikra and Acre Day Trip from Tel Aviv
We thoroughly enjoyed this trip around Caesaria, Haifa, Akko and Rosh Hanikra. Our tour guide Nicola was excellent. She was knowledgeable, friendly, interesting and accommodated our eating issues without any problem at all. It was a very busy day but she kept us amused with history, politics and lots of interesting stories. I’d highly recommend this trip
