Witness Humpback Whales on the Gold Coast. Cruise departs from Sea World in Main Beach and continues past South Stradbroke Island. Only 20 minutes to the nearby water of the Australian Whale Sanctuary. The Spirit of Migaloo II is Australia’s newest and most advanced whale watching vessel operating in the Gold Coast. With marine naturalists onboard, passengers can enjoy a front row seat to all the action from six external viewing platforms and tiered stadium seating from sea level to the sun deck. The spacious decks all around the vessel and smaller passenger numbers ensure that the experience is a personal one with the freedom to move around and enjoy uninterrupted views of the Humpback Whales wherever you are on the boat. Whale Watching Season is late May to early November.
We deliver this experience on our working honey farm and this is a true 'hands on' experience to share with you everything about the bees! This is an immersive experience so you will be suited up in a head to toe in one of our white protective triple layer ventilated beekeeping outfit. We'll venture out to our nearby Bee Farm, once we arrive at the Apiary we'll give you some advice on staying calm and what to expect with your close encounter. With the safety and guidance of a Beekeeper you'll be able to approach the hives and witness the breathtaking natural phenomenon that is honeybees hard at work. Our Apiary is located in the heart of suburban Brisbane and is rich in biodiversity and our bees forage happily on the area’s flowering native flora. We will share with you the workings of an operational productive hive, open their beehive home and check out the busy bees doing their thing. We will show you the different stages of bee development and look out for the Queen Bee!
