Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Workshop in ChocoMuseo Cusco
This was such a cool experience!! You really get to make the chocolate from beans to bar. You then get to add your own toppings (sea salt, chili powder etc) to your chocolate and bring it home. Our guide, Anna, was exceptional! She made the process so much fun and answered all of our questions. We did this on our first day while adjusting to the altitude and it was perfect!

Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Workshop in ChocoMuseo Cusco
My husband booked me this tour as it was close to the hotel and he was off on another adventure. When I arrived, I found out I was the only one in the class (how cool is that)! My instructor was extremely funny and knowledgeable and the time just flew passed. I learned a lot and would recommend this to anyone who loves chocolate, laughing a lot and learning a bit more about both chocolate & Peru.

Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Workshop in ChocoMuseo Cusco
Gabriel facilitated the two hour class and made the learning so fun and experiential. From roasting and peeling the cacao beans to creating cacao paste, the five of us students were all involved in the entire process. We toasted and tasted cacao tea, hot chocolate, and we ultimately created our own chocolate bars at the end of the workshop. I highly recommend this experience if you are in Cusco!

Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Workshop in ChocoMuseo Cusco
This was a really cool 2 hour experience. We got to make chocolate from the cocoa bean to the bar. And we got to try two versions of hot chocolate, cocoa tea, and tasted different chocolates from different regions. Our teacher was hilarious and when we were struggling to grind the beans into paste he said “I’ll see you in the same class again tomorrow” haha.

This was a lot of fun, and interesting. And tasty. I took a different chocolate workshop in Cusco, and they were different, but both great.

Plaza de Armas

During their conquest, the Spanish expeditiously plundered and razed Inca structures, often building on top of foundations the Inca so expertly crafted in stone—making Cusco’s historic center a totally unique place in the world. Soak up the mystical energy at the city’s main square, Plaza de Armas where the grandiose Cusco Cathedral watches over from a stepped platform surrounded by solid Inca walls.
