Dahlia Popovits has been a professional designer and hand weaver for over 40 years, and is happy to teach a how to weave session, and to help the new weaver understand the technical and design choices available through weaving. Absolutely no previous experience is necessary. The space which is used to learn is in my gallery of hand made clothing and accessories, which is attached to my working studio. Our location is in the center of the Sowa Art and Design District, the home to numerous high end galleries and artists studios.
Join contemporary artist Ellen Rolli for a tour of her Melrose studio that includes a painting demonstration and artist talk. Discuss and see contemporary painting techniques, then take advantage of a question-and-answer session with Rolli to get a rare glimpse into the often-closed world of a working artist's painting studio.
Discover Boston’s thriving SoWa Art and Design District—and meet one of the city’s acclaimed local artists, Paul Pedulla—during this studio visit, talk, and neighborhood tour. Meet at Pedulla’s studio space; with a maximum of 10 attendees, this small-group tour provides an intimate way to learn about his work and about the Boston art scene. Following the tour and talk, you’ll receive a guide to SoWa’s other highlights, and can continue exploring independently.
