While vacationing or a short visit by cruise ship on Bonaire, visitors will want to take advantage of the opportunity to discover the island’s cave, consisting of an estimated 400 caves. Since their formation, the caves have played an important role in the island’s overall ecosystem. While adventuring through select caves, continue through the cavern and find a small opening of water where visitors can snorkel. Climb through the opening with your flashlight, mask and snorkel, and snorkel through crystal clear water that is a mix of fresh and salt. It is important that when visiting the cave it should be with a Certified cave guide & operator. Transportation from and to your accommodation is cover The caves are located on the North side of the Island. One at the entrance of Santa Barbara and one just down the road at a place called Hill Top we will stop at the second cave. Around this areas is rich in caves. The first Cave we will be visiting have a ladder that you will have to climb down to get into the Cave. When you are in the cave there will be bats and a lot of special rocks. When you are in the cave you will see a lot of type of lime stones as you can see on the pictures and some of the rocks look like they have gliders on them because when you shine your light or flashlight on it they start shining. If you like cliff jumping, we will be visiting a small and low cliff jumping after the cave tour. It is very fun!!!! :) The cliff is not high at all and every one can jump from it :)

Indian's Description Tour with Local Guide

Indian's Description Tour with Local Guide

On this tour an experienced guide will lead you to the wildly beautiful East side of Bonaire.Often missed by tourists, the east side of the island has breathtaking views of crashing waves hitting the rocky coast, cliff-like cave corals, “bocas” or mouths of the sea, and unobstructed views.Numerous boats ship-wrecked on this side of the island before a lighthouse was put in place and there’s proof that at one point native Indians inhabited some of the cliff coves. Your guide will take you to one such cove and show you Indian inscriptions that are believed to be markings of the Arawark Indians. They have been dated back to at least the 15th century. Our next stop will be Boca Onima where you can feel the power of the waves surging against Bonaire’s shore and view the wind turbines that play a crucial role in supplying energy to the land. Just be sure to hold on to your hat! Throughout this journey, your guide will be pointing out nature, history and telling you about Bonaire culture.

Rincon Visit with Local Guide

Rincon Village is the oldest village on Bonaire. Additionally, it is the oldest in continual existence within the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Originally settled by the Spanish in the early 1500’s, Rincon was strategically nestled within a valley to ward off impending danger from pirates and other threats. Slaves were brought to Bonaire and worked tending crops and in the salt pans. Slaves lived in Rincon and walked to the salt pans in the south to work, and stayed there for the work week. They returned to Rincon to gather supplies at Mangazina di Rei (King’s store house), and family visits before heading back to the salt pans. In Rincon we will be visiting the Magazine di Rei (King's store house) and then the Kadushi distillery (where you will be able to taste the local cactus liquor made on Bonaire. After visiting Kadushi we will be stopping at Local Restaurant called Posada. Here will be our last stop and you can enjoy a local food made by local people living on the Island.
