Opal polishing workshops in the beautiful Blue Mountains

Opal polishing workshops in the beautiful Blue Mountains

star-5
3
This gives people the unique experience of polishing genuine Australian opal. There is nowhere else where you can polish opals and it is very likely that the opal you leave with will be worth more than the money you spent on this workshop. In fact, potentially you could polish an opal that is worth hundreds of dollars as it is impossible to see what an opal will look like before it's been polished, so it is truly the luck of the draw. But we give you the information to help you make an informed choice of the parcel of opals you choose. Opal is becoming increasingly valuable with all opal rough being snapped up and it's not going to get better in future as some opal fields are being closed down. This truly is the opportunity of a lifetime.

Blue Mountains Secret Places Adventure

Blue Mountains Secret Places Adventure

star-5

This will be a full day of exploring destinations not usually seen or experienced by the average visitor to the World Heritage-listed upper Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Yes, you could visit all the usual standard and well worn Blue Mountains crowded tourist destinations but isn’t it more fun to “step off the trail” and explore those little known places that only us locals know about? I'd like you to join me to explore the unknown, to see places that few have seen, to take home memories and tell of experiences that your friends will envy. We will experience awesome vistas, explore amazing caves, walk through cool rain forests, and dine on yummy local food and drink. The goal for the day is to avoid all the usual crowded tourist hot spots and visit some really outstanding secret places. Our day starts at Katoomba and we'll travel as far as Little Hartley, with stops in Medlow Bath, Blackheath, Megalong Valley, Shipley, and Mount Victoria.

Blue Mountains Empress Canyon Adventure from Wentworth Falls
"The entire experience was amazing! Our 10 and 13 year old were just old enough to fully enjoy the trip down the canyon. It started with a downhill walk to the base of the canyon, then we put on wetsuits and started walking through the very cold and slippery river, feeling like we were true explorers. Shortly into the walk we had our first jump into a pool, which was certainly invigorating! The jumps weren’t just for fun - they were truly the only way to get through the canyon so we had no choice but to face our fears and go for it! By the time we reached the 90 foot abseil at the end, we were so used to conquering our fears that a 30 meter drop with the waterfall hitting your face and your body bumping against the rock wall somehow seemed like a perfectly normal experience! Our guide Ken was fantastic- supportive, encouraging and with incredible knowledge of the Blue Mountains and environment."..."

Blue Labyrinth Tour: Sydney Blue Mountains by E-Bike
"Thanks so much for an amazing organisation within my tight flight schedule of a business trip. Sam was very occomodating, he met met me at my hotel and began earlier than usual so I could still have a three hour bike tour in the beautiful Blue Mountains. Sam is an excellent coach, he adapted fully to my advanced skill level and was very attentive to safety and fun. I am sure that any skill level would fine with Sam. An enthusiastic bike guide, totally passionate about riding and very knowledgeable about the surrounding nature, Sam led me throught varied landscapes (Eucalyptus forests, wild flowers, gorgeous views of the Blue Mountains Park and Sydney) on large dirt roads to single mountain bike trails and brought me back to the Glenbrook train station on time. I highly recommend biking in the Blue Mountains with Sam for an active adventure while visitng Sydney. I really enjoyed using an e-bike because it allowed me to cover a much greater distance during my short trip, and I would definately do this trip again, hopefully with much more time."..."
