During this very unique workshop all guests will stitch their own Catalan Espadrilles, which they will keep as the most special souvenir of their trip. Our guests become artisans for 90 minutes. All guests will meet at a real espadrilles workshop, in the emblematic Gothic Quarter, surrounded by a whole universe of tradition and history. Two artisans will lead the workshop, and will show and assist on not only how to make the espadrilles, but also how to wear them in different traditional ways according to Catalan culture. It is local, unique, special, fun and something that only an insider could get. Be prepared to be amazed, captivated and surprised by the owners, they are fun, engaging and they know all that is to know about espadrilles.

Get to know about architectural gems and create your own modernist mosaic - a great souvenir to take home with you! During the 1,5 hours walk we will make the connection from medieval Catalan history & legends to what inspired architects when designing their magnificent buildings at the turn of the 20th century. From fountains to stone bats – all have a story we want to tell you! After the walk you will discover details you have not noticed before. You will see the city with different eyes! The walk will lead us to Angelika´s workshop. You will learn the mosaic technique “Trencadís”. This technique - using materials such as shards of glass or ceramics - can be found on Catalan Modernism buildings. She will show you the basics & handling of tools for your first masterpiece in ceramics such as a frame, top of a box, heart or square. This will be a great memory to take home!

The workshop we carry out is a unique experience that takes place in the Born neighborhood. A medieval historical environment, where the interior of the buildings and the atmosphere of the streets transports us to another era. It is the best environment to carry out any activity.
