Spanish Village (Poble Espanyol) (Attraction - Barcelona, Spain)
One of the most famous points of interest on Montjuïc is Poble Espanyol, a Spanish Village built for the 1929 International Exhibition to show off models of the architecture specific to each region of Spain. Filling these buildings are various craft shops leftover from the International Exhibition, many of which still churn out keepsakes.
The Basics
Visitors ambling through this open-air museum will find themselves one minute walking down a street characteristic of the Basque region; the next, standing before a home that feels lifted out of Andalucia. Choose between daytime or nighttime entrance, or save with a combo ticket with admission to the nearby Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, also on Montjüic. Poble Espanyol is also included on many Barcelona multi-attraction passes, along with other points of interest.
