Departure for Borjomi (optional stop). It is known for its sodium hydrocarbon spa, its springs and its ski resorts. We will continue our journey to Akhaltsikhe to discover the Castle of Rabat. We will finally arrive in Vardzia. A troglodyte monastery complex of the 12th century, which is a cultural monument of Georgian culture. This masterpiece is surrounded by a network of fortress, to be used, at that time, as a fulcrum in case of attack from the south. The site has been proposed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007. Return to your Kutasi Hotel (approx. 4h drive)

During its golden time it accommodated around 20.000 people. It was demolished by Mongols in XV century.
