Beginner paddlers are perfectly suited to this introduction to whitewater on the Rogue River. During this half-day tour, novices will enjoy full instruction and safety briefings before heading out on the 5.5-mile (9-kilometer) stretch of river, filled with exciting but manageable whitewater. Stop halfway to relax on dry land and have a snack before navigating the rest of the Class I through Class IV rapids on the river.

Spending a full day on the river independently can be a lot to handle on your own, no matter where you are. A guide leads this full-day Rouge River and Hellgate Canyon rafting tour in Oregon, so you can feel safe as you raft. Choose from a total of three different raft and kayak options, and get a thorough orientation before you go. A riverside lunch is included.

Spend the day on Oregon’s Rouge River on a 5-hour rafting trip. Meet your guide in Ashland for a shuttle ride to your rafting location. Start with a safety briefing and then embark on your rafting adventure down 6 miles (9.6 km) of scenic class I-II rapids. Your guide handles paddling and steering so you can sit back and enjoy the ride. Stop midway for a snack and have lots of opportunities to get out of the raft to swim if you want. Kayaking can be an option deepening on the weather conditions. You return to the departure point and the end of the trip.

This 12 mile stretch of river combines both of our half-day trips into a relaxing and adventurous all day excursion on the Rogue. This trip departs Ashland once a day, seven days a week, when four or more river enthusiasts are ready to go. Guests leave the Ashland area by 9:00 a.m. and return approximately by 4:00 p.m. Private groups and different time schedules can be easily arranged with advance notice.
